Karimnagar: RMP Doctor Faces ₹79,875 Fine for 277 Pending Traffic

In a surprising incident, an RMP (Registered Medical Practitioner) doctor from Karimnagar has been found to have accumulated a staggering 277 traffic challans on a single two-wheeler over the past five years, amounting to a total fine of ₹79,875.

According to traffic police officials, the challans were issued for repeated violations, including overspeeding, signal jumping, and improper parking. Most of the offences were recorded through CCTV surveillance cameras across various locations in Karimnagar.

Authorities revealed that the doctor, who runs a private clinic in the district, continued to use the vehicle despite the piling fines. The matter came to light during a recent traffic drive aimed at identifying vehicles with long-pending challans

Police have now issued a notice to the vehicle owner, directing him to clear all dues immediately to avoid legal action and potential vehicle seizure. Officials have also urged citizens to regularly check their challan status through the official traffic department portal to prevent accumulation of fines.

This incident highlights growing concerns about repeated traffic violations and the need for greater road discipline among motorists.
