50-Year-Old Woman Murdered in Kukatpally, Servants Under Suspicion

Hyderabad, 11 September

In a shocking incident, a 50-year-old woman was brutally murdered at her flat in an apartment building at Kukatpally, Hyderabad, on Wednesday. Police suspect two domestic workers who allegedly tied up and stabbed the victim before fleeing with valuables.

 

The deceased has been identified as Renu Agarwal, who lived with her husband Rakesh and their son. The family is into the steel business.

On Wednesday morning, Renu’s husband and son left for work. By evening, when repeated phone calls went unanswered, they rushed back home and found the door locked. Entering through the balcony, they discovered Renu lying dead in a pool of blood.

According to police, the assailants tied Renu’s hands and legs before stabbing her multiple times with a knife and scissors, leading to her death.

Servants Under Suspicion

Investigations revealed that the family had recently appointed Harsha (20), a native of Jharkhand, as a servant just ten days ago. CCTV footage showed Harsha and his friend Roshan, who also worked in the same building, leaving the apartment in the lift and later fleeing on a two-wheeler towards KPHB.

A case has been registered and special police teams have been deployed to track down the suspects.
