Hyderabad Independence Day Traffic Restrictions: Routes, Parking Details for August 15
Traffic restrictions and diversions will be in place from 6 AM to 12 PM around Golconda Fort for the Independence Day celebrations
The Hyderabad Traffic Police will impose traffic restrictions and diversions in Hyderabad from 6 AM to 12 PM on Saturday, August 15, in view of the Independence Day flag-hoisting ceremony at Golconda Fort.
The road from Ramadevguda towards Golconda Fort will be completely closed to general vehicular movement during the restricted hours. Vehicles coming from Langar House will be diverted towards GHMC Island at Bada Bazar Junction. Independence Day Traffic Restrictions in Hyderabad
Invitees holding ‘A’ (Gold), ‘A’ (Cream) and ‘B’ (Blue) car passes must reach Golconda Fort through the Ramadevguda route between 6 AM and 11 AM.
Golconda Fort routes and parking for pass holders
A (Gold), A (Cream) and B (Blue) pass holders
Invitees travelling from Secunderabad, Banjara Hills, Masab Tank and Mehdipatnam should take the following route:
Rethibauli → Nanal Nagar Junction → Balika Bhavan → Langar House Flyover → Tipu Khan Bridge → Ramadevguda Junction → Makkai Darwaza → Golconda Fort Gate
Parking:
- A (Gold): Fateh Darwaza Road, opposite the main gate
- A (Cream) and B (Blue): Golconda Bus Stop, around 50 metres from the main gate
C (Green) pass holders
Those arriving from Seven Tombs and Banjara Darwaza should take a left turn at the traffic signal and proceed to Owaisi Ground for parking.
Motorists coming from the Langar House Flyover side should take a right turn at Fateh Darwaza, proceed through Bada Bazaar and GHMC Island, and park at the Owaisi/GHMC Playground. Independence Day Traffic Restrictions in Hyderabad.
D (Red) pass holders
Those travelling via Sheikhpet Nala, Toli Chowki, Seven Tombs and Banjara Darwaza can park their vehicles inside the Golconda Area Hospital premises.
E (Black) pass holders and general public
E (Black) pass holders and members of the general public can take a U-turn under the Langar House Flyover and park at the Government Primary School near the Tawakkal diversion point towards Fateh Darwaza.
People travelling from Sheikhpet and Tolichowki can also park at Seven Tombs, Deccan Park or the football ground near the Golconda Law and Order Police Station.
Return routes after Independence Day celebrations
Traffic police have also specified exit routes for vehicles after the celebrations.
- A (Gold), A (Cream) and B (Blue): Makkai Darwaza → Ramadevguda → Langar House
- C (Green): Bada Bazaar → Fateh Darwaza or Banjara Darwaza → Seven Tombs
- D (Red): Banjara Darwaza → Seven Tombs
- General public: Return through their respective parking areas
Traffic diversions for general public
To facilitate traffic movement after the Independence Day celebrations, motorists travelling from Seven Tombs towards Golconda will be diverted at Golf Club, Jamali Darwaza.

Hyderabad Traffic Police issues appeal
The Hyderabad Traffic Police has asked all invitees to affix their respective car passes on the left side of their vehicle windscreens.

The traffic police appealed to motorists and passengers to cooperate with personnel and use the designated alternative routes to avoid congestion during the Independence Day celebrations.
