Bollywood superstar Govinda surprised his wife Sunita Ahuja with a stunning heavy gold necklace for Karwa Chauth, putting rumors about their troubled marriage to rest.
Sunita took to her Instagram account to share pictures of the festive occasion. Dressed in a regal green embroidered outfit, she posed gracefully wearing the eye-catching necklace, complemented with a big red bindi, traditional nose pin, matching earrings, and vibrant green bangles. In another photo, she held the necklace with both hands, showing off her husband’s extravagant gift, and wrote: “Sona Kitna Sona Hai, Mera Karwa Chauth Ka Gift Aaya,” tagging Govinda in the post. Fans and well-wishers quickly flooded the comments section with festive wishes and admiration for the couple.
Quashing Divorce Speculations
The Karwa Chauth post comes after months of speculation regarding Govinda and Sunita’s marriage. In August 2025, rumors of a possible separation made rounds on social media. However, the couple silenced all doubts during the Ganpati Festival celebrations, appearing together in public, looking united and strong.
Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, clarified reports of divorce, explaining that although Sunita had filed documents in court, the matter was resolved at the initial stages. He stated:
“No, someone has done this mischief. This is a very old thing. Nothing new. Nothing like the divorce is going to happen. Everything is getting better. Everything is fine. Very soon, everyone will get good news.”
Sinha further confirmed that the 2024 court case filed by Sunita in Bandra Family Court had been resolved and emphasized that recent rumors were
misrepresentations of old events.
The couple’s Karwa Chauth celebration and Govinda’s thoughtful gift mark a fresh chapter in their relationship, reflecting their continued commitment and love for each other.
