Traffic Restrictions Announced for Milad-un-Nabi Juloos

Traffic Restrictions Announced for Milad-un-Nabi Processions; Charminar to Remain Closed on Sunday

Hyderabad: The city police have announced traffic restrictions in view of the Milad-un-Nabi processions scheduled for Sunday, September 14. The restrictions will be in effect from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm across several parts of the city.

Route of the Processions

Five main Milad-un-Nabi processions will pass through key areas, including:

  • Falaknuma to Volta Hotel via Charminar

  • Yahiya Pasha Dargah to Volta Hotel and return

  • Mecca Masjid to Haj House, Nampally

  • Mecca Masjid to Volta Hotel

  • Pattarghatti to Alijah Kotla

Traffic Diversions

In view of the processions, traffic will be diverted at major junctions, including Falaknuma, Engine Bowli, Nagulchinta X Road, Himmatpura Junction, Charminar, Gulzar Houz, Pattarghatti, Madina Junction, Nayapool, Darulshifa, Alijah Kotla, Volta Hotel, Afzalgunj, MJ Market, Nampally T Junction, and Haj House, among others.

The police have requested citizens to avoid these routes and use alternative roads to reach their destinations in order to prevent congestion.

Charminar and Monuments Closed for Visitors

Meanwhile, tourist spots in Hyderabad’s Old City will remain closed on Sunday. An official from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) confirmed that the Charminar and other monuments will not be open to visitors due to the Milad-un-Nabi processions.

Earlier, the Charminar was also closed on September 6, ahead of the Ganesh procession. The ASI clarified that the online ticketing system will also remain suspended during the closure.
