In Nusseirat Camp, central Gaza, Israeli soldiers dismantled positions and moved east toward Israel, while other forces remained amid continued clashes. Along the Mediterranean coastal road into Gaza City, Israeli troops partially withdrew, enabling residents to attempt returning to the urban center, though ongoing gunfire limited movement.
Rescue and Recovery Operations
Rescue teams and medics have begun accessing neighborhoods that were previously unreachable, recovering at least 10 bodies from prior strikes. The withdrawal has provided much-needed relief and allowed for humanitarian activities to resume in parts of the densely populated enclave.
Hostage Release Agreement
Earlier on Friday, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed government approval of a framework for the release of all hostages, both living and deceased. Under the ceasefire terms:

Israel will withdraw the majority of its forces from Gaza
A prisoner exchange will take place between Palestinian detainees and remaining hostages
Currently, around 20 of the 48 hostages are believed to be alive.
