Panic: 12-Foot Crocodile Spotted in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: 12-Foot Crocodile Rescued in Abdullapurmet, Shifted to Nehru Zoological Park

Mild panic gripped residents of Taramatipet village in Abdullapurmet on Friday after a massive crocodile was spotted near a canal connected to the Musi River.

According to officials, the reptile measured around 12 feet in length and weighed nearly 120 kg. Locals, who noticed the crocodile amidst bushes and thick vegetation, immediately alerted the forest department.

Responding swiftly, forest officials along with local police reached the spot. After an operation lasting nearly one and a half hours, the crocodile was safely captured and later shifted to the Nehru Zoological Park.

The incident caused temporary tension in the area, with villagers expressing relief after the reptile was successfully relocated.
