Two Arrested at Begumpet Railway Station with Marijuana Worth Rs 16.5 Lakh

In a joint operation, the Hyderabad GRP, EAGLE Team (TGANB), and RPF arrested two individuals and seized 33.05 kg of marijuana valued at Rs 16.5 lakh at Begumpet railway station on Thursday night.

The suspects, Rajesh Bishoyi (26) and Sujata Singh (29), both hailing from Odisha, were intercepted while waiting to board another train after disembarking from the Konark Express traveling from Chatrapur to Mumbai. Authorities recovered two trolley suitcases containing 16 bundles of marijuana.

Investigation Details

Police said the duo was allegedly transporting the drugs on the instructions of Kishore Lima, a key supplier from Odisha who is currently absconding. The suspects were reportedly promised Rs 1,000 per kilogram for the delivery.

The case is under investigation, and authorities are working to trace and apprehend Kishore Lima.
