Jubilee Hills Bypoll: GHMC Urges Eligible Citizens to Complete Voter Registration Before October 11 Deadline
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner and District Election Officer, R.V. Karnan, has reminded citizens that the deadline for voter registration for the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election is October 11. Residents who fail to register by this date will not be eligible to vote in the upcoming bypoll, scheduled for November 11.
In an official statement issued on Friday, Karnan emphasized that all applications received by the evening of October 11 will be thoroughly reviewed by election officials. Eligible applicants will be added to the electoral roll in time to exercise their voting rights in the by-election.
The GHMC has advised citizens to ensure their details are accurate, including name, age, and address, to avoid discrepancies during verification. Those who have recently turned 18, changed residence, or have not yet registered as voters in the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency are particularly urged to submit their applications promptly.
To facilitate voter registration, the GHMC has provided multiple options: citizens can apply online via the National Voter Services Portal (NVSP) or submit physical applications at designated GHMC offices. All submissions must include proper documentation, such as proof of age and residence, to be considered valid.
Karnan further urged eligible voters not to delay the process, highlighting the importance of active participation in the democratic process. “Every eligible citizen has the right and responsibility to vote. We encourage residents of Jubilee Hills to register without delay to ensure their voices are heard in the by-election,” he said.
The Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election is being closely monitored, and election authorities have stated that voter registration is a critical step in ensuring a smooth and fair polling process.
