H-NEW Busts Inter-State Drug Racket in Hyderabad, Two Arrested With OG, Cocaine and LSD
H-NEW Busts Inter-State Drug Racket in a major anti-narcotics operation carried out jointly with the Hussainialam police, leading to the arrest of two alleged drug traffickers and the seizure of hydroponic cannabis (OG), cocaine, LSD blots, mobile phones and a vehicle used to transport narcotics.
The operation exposed an alleged interstate drug trafficking network operating between Mumbai and Hyderabad, with police continuing efforts to trace the absconding supplier.
Two Accused Arrested in Drug Bust
The arrested persons have been identified as Mohammed Saif (31), a resident of Babri Alawa in Charminar, Hyderabad, and Sameer Babubhai Waghela (25), a resident of Kurla West, Mumbai.
According to police, H-NEW Busts Inter-State Drug Racket after gathering intelligence about the illegal transportation and distribution of narcotic substances in Hyderabad.
Drugs Worth Seized During Operation
During the raid, police seized:
- 120 grams of OG (hydroponic cannabis)
- 5 grams of cocaine
- 27 LSD blots
- Two mobile phones
- One Maruti Suzuki Baleno (TG12-8766) allegedly used for transporting the drugs
The seized contraband has been taken into custody as evidence, and further investigation is underway.
Mumbai Supplier Under Investigation
Police said Mohammed Saif allegedly procured narcotic substances from a Mumbai-based supplier identified as Aditya. The drugs were reportedly transported to Hyderabad through Sameer Babubhai Waghela, who allegedly acted as an intermediary between the supplier and Saif.
After receiving the consignments, Saif allegedly distributed the drugs through his local network in Hyderabad and earned substantial illegal profits.
Officials further stated that Saif was allegedly addicted to consuming OG, cocaine and LSD, while Sameer regularly transported narcotics from Mumbai to Hyderabad on behalf of the absconding supplier.
Police Continue Search for Absconding Accused
Following the operation in which H-NEW Busts Inter-State Drug Racket, investigators have launched efforts to trace the absconding supplier, Aditya, and identify other individuals linked to the interstate narcotics network.
Police said further arrests are likely as the investigation progresses and more evidence is collected.
