Telangana Intermediate Admission Last Date Extended to August 31
TGBIE extends first-year Intermediate admission deadline for 2026-27; colleges directed to follow merit-based admissions
The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has extended the last date for admissions to first-year Intermediate courses for the academic year 2026-27 till August 31.
The extension applies to all junior colleges across Telangana offering two-year Intermediate courses, according to reports.
No admission tests for Intermediate courses
The TGBIE has directed junior colleges not to conduct separate admission tests for first-year Intermediate admissions.

Colleges have also been directed to prominently display their sanctioned intake, number of seats filled and vacancies at their entrances and update the information on a daily basis.
Anti-drug declaration made mandatory
As part of the admission process, the Board has instructed colleges to obtain mandatory anti-drug declarations from both students and their parents.
Institutions have been directed to ensure that admissions are made only against the sanctioned intake and to comply with all applicable admission guidelines.
Students advised to choose TGBIE-affiliated colleges
The Board has advised students and parents to take admission only in junior colleges affiliated with TGBIE.
Students are encouraged to verify the affiliation status of colleges before completing the admission process. The official list of affiliated junior colleges is available on the TGBIE website.
The latest extension provides students who have not yet secured admission with additional time to complete the first-year Intermediate admission process for the 2026-27 academic year.
