Hyderabad Police Seize 750 Mini Gas Cylinders, Bust Illegal Manufacturing Racket
Task Force arrests three men transporting 400 mini gas cylinders and seizes 350 more cylinders and seven machines from a Rajapur godown
The Rajendranagar Zone Task Force of Hyderabad Police has busted an alleged illegal mini gas cylinder manufacturing and transportation racket, seizing 750 mini gas cylinders and seven manufacturing machines during separate operations.
The operation began on August 12, when the Task Force intercepted a vehicle on the Main Road at Gagan Pahad, Shamshabad, under the limits of the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) Police Station.
Police apprehended Mohammad Abdul Hannan, who was allegedly transporting 400 mini gas cylinders from Rajapur to Hyderabad.
Three arrested in mini gas cylinder transportation case
During questioning, Hannan reportedly told police that he was transporting the cylinders on the instructions of Mohammad Bholesha.
The Task Force subsequently apprehended Bholesha, who allegedly disclosed that Mohammad Shakeel, a resident of Troop Bazar in Hyderabad, was supplying the mini gas cylinders.
Police then apprehended Shakeel and handed all three accused over to the RGIA Police Station, where a case was registered.
Mini gas cylinders allegedly manufactured illegally in Rajapur
During further questioning, Shakeel reportedly told police that the mini gas cylinders were being manufactured illegally at a godown in Rajapur village.
According to police, the cylinders were then transported to Hyderabad without the required documents and permissions.
Based on the information, the Task Force raided the alleged manufacturing premises in Rajapur village and apprehended Md. Dilshad.
350 more cylinders and seven machines seized
During the raid, police seized 350 mini gas cylinders and seven manufacturing machines from the premises.
Dilshad and the seized property were handed over to the Rajapur Police Station, where a separate case was registered.
The police action has reportedly prevented the unauthorised distribution and possible misuse of the mini gas cylinders.
Further investigation is underway to establish the full network involved in the alleged illegal manufacturing and transportation of the cylinders.
