CM Revanth Reddy Directs Officials to Stay on High Alert as Heavy Rains Lash Hyderabad

Hyderabad, 13 June

CM Revanth Reddy on Saturday directed senior officials across all key departments and agencies within the Core Urban Region (CURE) to remain on high alert following heavy rainfall across Hyderabad and surrounding areas.

The Chief Minister instructed officials from the police, traffic police, Municipal Administration, HYDRAA, electricity distribution companies, the Water Board, and other concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted essential services and maintain normal civic life despite the adverse weather conditions.

Emphasizing the need for proactive measures, Revanth Reddy directed authorities to identify vulnerable and waterlogged locations in advance and deploy emergency response teams to such areas to minimize inconvenience and ensure public safety.

He also stressed the importance of continuous monitoring of the situation and prompt action wherever required to prevent disruptions caused by heavy rainfall.

To review the evolving weather situation in real time, the Chief Minister convened an urgent war-room meeting with senior officials, including the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police (DGP), and the Special Chief Secretary of CURE.

The state administration is closely monitoring rainfall-related developments and coordinating response efforts to address any emergencies across the city.
