No Aadhaar needed for enumeration forms, Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C Sudharsan Reddy clarified on Tuesday, July 21, while reviewing the progress of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 of electoral rolls. The CEO directed all District Election Officers (DEOs) to ensure that more than 90 per cent of the enumeration process in their respective districts is completed by the end of this week. Reddy issued the directions during a video conference with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner and District Election Officers from across Telangana as part of the state-wide electoral roll revision exercise.
No Aadhaar Needed for Enumeration Forms Submitted Online
One of the key instructions issued during the meeting was that no Aadhaar needed for enumeration forms submitted by electors. He also instructed BLOs not to demand physical copies of enumeration forms from voters who have already completed and submitted the forms online.
The clarification is expected to make the enrolment and verification process easier for lakhs of electors participating in the Special Intensive Revision exercise.
CEO Sets 90 Per Cent Completion Target

He directed officials to thoroughly verify all “no mapping” electors and take necessary action wherever required to ensure that the electoral rolls remain accurate and updated.
Officials Asked to Speed Up Digitisation

He emphasised that Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), BLO Supervisors and Booth Level Officers should closely monitor the process at every stage.
Special attention was also sought for urban areas and Assembly constituencies where the progress of enumeration has been comparatively slow.
Transparency and Inclusion Emphasised
Apart from reiterating that no Aadhaar needed for enumeration forms, Sudharsan Reddy directed officials to maintain complete transparency throughout the revision exercise.
He asked district officials to properly document meetings held with recognised political parties and ensure that every eligible elector is included in the electoral rolls.
The CEO also instructed officials to ensure that VVIP and VIP electors are not left out during the revision process.
Verification of ASD Cases
The meeting also focused on the verification of Absent, Shifted and Dead (ASD) electors.

He further directed authorities to complete the rationalisation of polling stations within the prescribed timeline and strengthen field-level monitoring to ensure the smooth implementation of the SIR 2026 programme.
Electoral Roll Revision Continues Across Telangana

With a target of achieving over 90 per cent completion this week, election officials across Telangana have been instructed to work in a coordinated manner to complete the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 exercise within the stipulated schedule while ensuring transparency, accuracy and public convenience.
