Mumbai: Actor Imran Khan is preparing to approach the Bombay High Court to challenge a notice directing him to leave India by October 28 over his alleged participation in a protest in Mumbai.
Khan, a US national and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholder, is expected to file a petition through his advocate, Zulfikar Memon of MZM Legal. According to the report, the petition could be filed by Friday or Monday.
The notice was issued over alleged violations of provisions of the Immigration and Foreigners Act following Khan’s participation in a demonstration held in solidarity with a protest in Delhi concerning Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) issue.

The plea is expected to challenge the Mumbai police notice directing the 43-year-old actor to leave the country by October 28, describing the administrative action as “drastic”.
