Ex-Army Subedar killed in Narsingi accident
According to the Narsingi police, the car was allegedly being driven at high speed and in a rash and negligent manner when it hit the two-wheelers.
Ravinder suffered severe injuries in the impact and died at the spot. Two other riders were also injured in the accident.
A relative of the deceased said Ravinder was returning home after night duty when the speeding car hit his vehicle, throwing him into the air and causing a serious head injury. Speeding car kills ex-Army Subedar in Hyderabad; two arrested
The relative said Ravinder had retired from the Army after serving for two decades and was currently working at the Artillery Centre in Hyderabad.
He had enrolled his two children in an Army school and was living in a rented house in Hydershakote.
Four occupants allegedly fled the spot
Following the accident, local residents alerted the police. The damaged car was found at the scene, but its occupants had allegedly abandoned the vehicle and fled.
Police said there were four people in the car.
Acting on credible information, police traced and took all four occupants, including the driver, into custody. Two of them were subsequently arrested in connection with the case.
The driver reportedly works as a delivery executive for a food delivery application.

They allegedly consumed alcohol before getting into the car. The driver was subjected to a breathalyser test, which indicated that his blood alcohol content was above the permissible limit, police said.
All four occupants were sent for medical tests, and the results are awaited.
Case registered at Narsingi police station
A post-mortem examination was conducted on Ravinder’s body.
The Narsingi police registered a case under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) relating to culpable homicide not amounting to murder and rash and negligent driving. Police are continuing their investigation to establish the exact circumstances of the accident and determine the role of each person travelling in the car.
Ravinder’s relative appealed to the government to take concrete measures to curb drunk driving, saying stricter action was needed to prevent such fatal road accidents.
