The incident took place on Tuesday, July 7, when the couple allegedly consumed a poisonous substance while travelling on the Sabari Express.
According to police and local reports, the man and woman have been identified as Sirish Kumar and Neelaveni, both residents of Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh. The two were reportedly married to different people and had allegedly developed a relationship around two months ago.

Couple Had Left Families and Travelled to Tamil Nadu
According to local reports, Sirish Kumar and Neelaveni had left their respective families nearly a month ago and travelled to Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, where they had been living together.
Their disappearance reportedly caused distress to their family members, who had been searching for them. After making efforts to trace the pair, Sirish Kumar’s wife, Sulochana, located them in Coimbatore and convinced them to return home.
The three were reportedly travelling together on the Sabari Express when the incident occurred.

Police said that during the train journey, Sirish Kumar and Neelaveni allegedly left their seats and went towards the train’s restroom. It was there that the Extramarital affair couple drinks poison, according to preliminary information gathered by investigators.
