Food Supply Comes to a Halt at Telangana Secretariat Over Unpaid Dues
Food services on the sixth floor of the Telangana Secretariat, which houses the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the Chief Secretary’s office, and several senior administrative offices, have been suspended after catering contractors allegedly stopped operations over long-pending unpaid bills.
According to reports, the catering contractors claimed that the Telangana government has not cleared their outstanding payments for the past two years, leaving them in severe financial distress.
Contractors Cite Two Years of Unpaid Bills
The contractors stated that they had exhausted their financial resources and were no longer able to purchase essential raw materials required for preparing meals.
They reportedly requested the authorities to clear at least a portion of the pending dues through instalment payments. However, after receiving no response, the contractor decided to suspend catering operations.

Sources said the decision to halt food services came only after repeated requests to release the pending payments allegedly went unanswered.
The disruption has affected employees working in key administrative offices, including the Chief Minister’s Office and the Chief Secretary’s office.
