Hyderabad Woman Killed in Nalgonda Road Accident Near Nagarjuna Sagar, Husband Injured. In a tragic road accident in Telangana’s Nalgonda district, a 55-year-old woman from Hyderabad was killed and three others were injured after a head-on collision between a Mahindra Thar SUV and a Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire near Nandikonda on Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Palaparthi Katyayani (55), a resident of Sanathnagar, Hyderabad. Her husband, Palaparthi Srinivas Rao (66), was among the injured in the accident.

According to police, the accident occurred around 8:45 AM near Hill Colony in Nandikonda, close to the Nagarjuna Sagar area, when the two vehicles traveling in opposite directions collided head-on. The impact of the collision was severe, resulting in Katyayani’s death on the spot.

Three others, including Srinivas Rao, sustained injuries in the crash. All the injured were immediately shifted to Kamala Nehru Hospital, Nandikonda, for medical treatment.

Police Case Registered

The incident has once again raised concerns over rising road accidents in Telangana, particularly on highways connecting Hyderabad with nearby districts.
