The Telangana government officially launched the Pulse Polio Immunisation Drive across the state on Sunday, aiming to protect children from the poliovirus and maintain India’s polio-free status. Telangana Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narsimha inaugurated the campaign in Borabanda, Hyderabad, where children received the Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV).

To ensure maximum coverage, the Telangana Health Department has established special Pulse Polio vaccination booths at several high-footfall locations, including:

- Bus stations
- Airports
- Marketplaces
- Government hospitals
- Primary Health Centres (PHCs)
- Community health centres
These easily accessible vaccination centres are expected to help more families immunise their children conveniently.
India Continues Pulse Polio Campaign Despite Being Polio-Free
