SIR exercise to begin in Hyderabad’s 15 Assembly constituencies from June 25

The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls will commence across all 15 Assembly constituencies in Hyderabad district from June 25, with election authorities deploying 4,062 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to carry out door-to-door voter verification.

The month-long exercise, scheduled to continue until July 24, aims to ensure that electoral rolls remain accurate, updated, and free from errors. During this period, BLOs will visit households between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. to distribute and collect enumeration forms from registered voters.

Over 47 Lakh Electors in Hyderabad

According to election officials, Hyderabad district had a total of 47,36,669 registered electors as of June 10. This includes 23,99,880 male voters, 23,36,448 female voters, and 341 third-gender electors.

Authorities stated that the revision process is crucial for maintaining an accurate voter database ahead of future elections. Electors are encouraged to verify their details and provide updated information wherever necessary.

How Voters Can Complete the Verification Process

Residents who do not receive an enumeration form from their designated BLO can obtain and submit the form through multiple channels. Voters can:

  • Download the enumeration form from the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Telangana website.
  • Access voter services through the Voters Portal.
  • Use the ECINET mobile application.
  • Book an appointment with their respective BLO using contact details available on official election websites.

Officials emphasized that voters should carefully review their information and ensure all details are accurate before submission.

Help Desks Established Across Hyderabad

To facilitate the revision process, help desks have been established at all Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) offices across Hyderabad. Additional assistance will also be available at the offices of the District Election Officer (DEO) and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

These centers will help voters resolve issues related to registration, corrections, and verification of electoral records. SIR exercise to begin in Hyderabad’s 15 Assembly constituencies from June 25

Address Changes Can Be Updated Later

Election authorities clarified that requests for changes in residential address can be submitted after the publication of the draft electoral roll on July 31 through Form 8.

In cases where a voter is unavailable during the BLO’s visit, any adult family member may fill out and sign the enumeration form on behalf of the elector and submit it to the concerned official. SIR exercise to begin in Hyderabad’s 15 Assembly constituencies from June 25

Officials also reiterated that providing an Aadhaar number during the verification process remains voluntary and is not mandatory.

Enumeration Stickers to Be Affixed on Houses

Upon successful completion of the verification process, BLOs will place an “Enumeration Completed” sticker on the respective household as confirmation that voter details have been verified.

The Election Commission has urged all eligible voters in Hyderabad to cooperate with BLOs and participate in the Special Intensive Revision exercise to ensure a transparent and accurate electoral roll. – SIR exercise to begin in Hyderabad’s 15 Assembly constituencies from June 25
