Four Trains to Halt at Hitech City Railway Station During Dasara
To ease the expected passenger rush during the Dasara festive season, the South Central Railway (SCR) has announced a temporary halt for four trains at Hitech City railway station from October 9 to 26.
The decision was announced on Friday, August 14, as railway authorities anticipate a significant increase in passenger movement at Secunderabad and Lingampalli railway stations during the festive period.
Four trains to get temporary Hitech City halt
According to the SCR, the following trains will temporarily halt at Hitech City railway station during the specified period:
- Train No. 17255 Narasapur–Lingampalli: Arrives at Hitech City at 4:45 am and departs at 4:46 am.
- Train No. 17256 Lingampalli–Narasapur: Arrives at 9:08 pm and departs at 9:09 pm.
- Train No. 12775 Kakinada Town–Lingampalli: Arrives at 7:10 am and departs at 7:11 am.
- Train No. 12776 Lingampalli–Kakinada Town: Arrives at 7:08 pm and departs at 7:09 pm.
The temporary halts are intended to provide passengers with an additional boarding option and help manage the increased demand expected during Dasara.
Passengers can change boarding point to Hitech City
Passengers who have already booked tickets with Lingampalli as their boarding station can also use the temporary Hitech City halt.
According to the SCR press release, eligible passengers can change their boarding point from Lingampalli to Hitech City during the notified period without paying any additional charge, subject to the existing railway procedures.
The facility is expected to benefit passengers travelling from and around the Hitech City area, particularly during the busy festive season.
Dasara travel rush expected
With the Dasara festive season approaching, railway authorities expect passenger traffic to rise significantly across major stations in Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
The temporary halt at Hitech City is expected to provide greater convenience to passengers while helping distribute the festive-season travel rush.
