A heartbreaking incident has come to light from Hyderabad, where a woman arrested after allegedly drowning her nine-month-old daughter in Bairamalguda Lake under the LB Nagar police limits has shocked residents. According to police, the accused has been identified as Lokasani Rajeshwari (34), a resident of Injapur and wife of Ravinder. Investigators said the woman arrested after allegedly drowning her infant was reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
The incident came to light when people near Bairamalguda Lake noticed the woman entering the water with the infant at around 7 p.m. Concerned onlookers immediately alerted the police through Dial 100. Rescue teams rushed to the spot, but by the time they arrived, the nine-month-old child had already died.
Following the incident, the woman arrested after allegedly drowning her daughter was taken into custody by the LB Nagar police for questioning. During the investigation, she allegedly admitted to consuming alcohol before the incident.
