40 Injured in Hyderabad-Bengaluru Bus Accident in Andhra Pradesh
At least 40 passengers were injured after a Volvo bus travelling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru collided with a truck in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh early Sunday morning, August 9.

Hyderabad-Bengaluru Bus Collides With Truck
According to the available information, the Volvo bus was travelling from Hyderabad towards Bengaluru when it collided with a truck near the Pogururu bridge.

A video circulating on social media showed passengers calling for help as rescue efforts were underway. The truck was also seen severely damaged after the collision.
Locals, Police Rescue Injured Passengers
Following the accident, local residents and police personnel rushed to the spot and began rescue operations.
The injured passengers were rescued from the vehicles and shifted for medical treatment. Authorities are continuing to assess the condition of those injured in the crash.
Mamidi Police said the accident occurred at around 4 am and confirmed that both drivers were safe. However, three people were reported to be critically injured.
Case Registered Over Rash Driving
Police have registered a case in connection with the accident. The case was booked for allegedly causing injury through rash and negligent driving under Section 125(A) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Further investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances that led to the collision between the Hyderabad-Bengaluru bus and the truck.
The accident caused significant damage to both vehicles and raised concerns over road safety on the NH-44 route in Anantapur district.
