Telangana Cyber Security Bureau Registers Case Over Abusive Social Media Post Targeting Shikha Goel
The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau Case has drawn attention after the agency registered a criminal case against an unidentified individual for allegedly posting abusive and objectionable content targeting Shikha Goel, Principal Secretary (Home) to the Telangana government and Director of the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB), on social media platform X.
According to officials, the objectionable post allegedly contained offensive and abusive language directed at the senior woman police officer. The matter was taken seriously by the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau, which initiated legal proceedings following a preliminary examination of the content.
A case has been registered under the Information Technology Act and other relevant legal provisions. Authorities said the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau Case is currently under investigation, and efforts are underway to trace the individual responsible for publishing the post.
Senior officials confirmed that special investigation teams have been constituted to identify and apprehend the accused. Cyber investigators are analysing digital evidence and coordinating with the concerned social media platform as part of the investigation.
