A 40-year-old woman sustained injuries after an HP gas cylinder exploded at an independent house in Alkapur Township under the Narsingi Police Station limits on Friday.

The incident occurred on the third floor of a residential building located on Road No. 9 in Alkapur Township. According to police officials, the victim, identified as Geetha (40), was present in the house when the gas cylinder, reportedly kept on the balcony, exploded suddenly.

Balcony Wall Damaged in Blast

The explosion caused significant damage to a portion of the balcony wall. Debris from the damaged structure fell onto Geetha’s legs, resulting in injuries.

Residents in the area reported hearing a loud explosion, prompting immediate concern among neighbors. Emergency services were alerted shortly after the incident.

Woman Shifted to Hospital; Gas Cylinder Explodes at Alkapur Township House

Personnel from the Narsingi Police and the Fire Department reached the spot soon after receiving information about the explosion. Officials secured the area and ensured that the situation was brought under control.
