2 Killed as Car Crashes Into Flyover Pillar in Gachibowli
Two tile workers were killed after the car they were travelling in crashed into a flyover pillar on the ORR service road in Gachibowli early on Saturday, August 8.
The deceased have been identified as Kanaiyalal, 25, and Deram, 24, both natives of Rajasthan.
Car Crashes Into Flyover Pillar in Gachibowli
According to the Gachibowli police, the accident occurred between 12 am and 1 am at Exit 1A on the ORR service road.
The car was travelling from Indira Reddy Nagar towards Nanakramguda when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle due to overspeeding.
The vehicle then crashed into a flyover pillar. The impact was severe, resulting in the deaths of Kanaiyalal and Deram at the scene.
A police official said the driver lost control of the car due to overspeeding, leading to the fatal collision.
Case Registered for Rash and Negligent Driving
Following the accident, the Gachibowli police registered a case of death caused by rash and negligent driving under Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident and the cause of the vehicle losing control.
The bodies of the deceased were taken for post-mortem examination as part of the investigation.
The incident has once again raised concerns over speeding and road safety on Hyderabad’s busy roads, particularly during late-night hours.
