One Killed, Another Injured After Bike Collides with Car in Ibrahimpatnam
A 38-year-old man was killed and another person sustained injuries after a motorcycle collided with a car in Ibrahimpatnam on the outskirts of Hyderabad late Friday night. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
The deceased has been identified as Shiva Kumar (38), who was travelling on a motorcycle with his friend Sai when the accident occurred at around 11:30 pm on Friday, July 3.
Victim Died at the Spot
According to police, the motorcycle collided with a car under circumstances that are currently being investigated. The impact of the collision left Shiva Kumar with severe injuries, and he died on the spot before medical assistance could save him.
His friend, Sai, sustained injuries in the crash and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. Officials said his condition is being monitored.
Police Register Case
Following the accident, personnel from the Ibrahimpatnam Police Station rushed to the scene after receiving information. Police also carried out a preliminary inspection of the accident site and collected evidence to determine the exact sequence of events that led to the collision.
Case Filed Under BNS
An official from the Ibrahimpatnam Police said that the accident occurred due to a collision between the motorcycle and the car on Friday night.
Police have registered a case of death caused by rash and negligent driving under Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Further investigation is underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the accident and determine responsibility.
Authorities are expected to examine witness statements, vehicle damage, and other evidence as part of the investigation.
The incident serves as another reminder of the importance of following traffic rules, maintaining safe speeds, and exercising caution while driving, particularly during late-night hours when visibility may be reduced.
