Toddler Dies After Falling Into Water-Filled Bucket in Hyderabad’s Kanchanbagh
A heartbreaking incident has been reported from Hyderabad’s Kanchanbagh area, where a 16-month-old girl tragically lost her life after accidentally falling into a bucket filled with water while playing at her residence. Despite being rushed to hospital immediately, the child could not be saved.
Toddler Dies After Falling Into Water-Filled Bucket in Hyderabad; Incident Occurred During Early Morning Hours
According to police reports, the incident took place in the C-Block locality of Hafeez Baba Nagar. The toddler, identified as Ayanan, was the daughter of Mohd Asif Khan, who works in sheet lining services, and Habiba Unnisa. The family resides near Harmain Masjid along with their three daughters.
The family had attended a function on June 14 at a relative’s house near Omar Farooq Masjid. While the father returned home later, the mother and children stayed back.
On June 15 around 1 am, the child reportedly soiled herself and was bathed by her mother. Believing the toddler was playing nearby with other children, the mother briefly stepped away.
Child Found in Water-Filled Bucket
A short time later, the child’s uncle, Mohd Moin, discovered the toddler submerged in a water-filled bucket in the bathroom area while going to wash his hands. The family immediately rushed the child to a nearby private hospital and later shifted her to Niloufer Hospital for advanced treatment.

Police Begin Investigation
The Kanchanbagh Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. Officials are examining the circumstances that led to the tragic accident.
