Hyderabad: A traffic constable in Banjara Hills has alleged that he was assaulted by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials after stopping their vehicle for allegedly violating traffic rules.

Officials Stopped for Wrong-Side Driving
According to preliminary information, Traffic Constable Srisailam stopped a car carrying two GHMC officials — an Assistant Engineer (AE) and an Assistant Medical Officer of Health (AMOH) assistant — for reportedly driving on the wrong side of the road.
Following the interception, an argument broke out between the constable and the officials.
