Big Boost for Telangana Students: CM Revanth Reddy Announces Innovation Hub, EV & Drone Courses
In a major step towards strengthening higher education and skill development, Big Boost for Telangana Students came on Friday as Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced a series of initiatives aimed at preparing youth for future careers. The announcements include setting up an innovation hub at Young India Skill University, introducing EV and drone technology courses, launching foreign language training, expanding internship opportunities, and strengthening overseas employment support.
The decisions were taken during a review meeting of the Skill, Human Capital and Knowledge Training Initiatives (SHAKTI) department held on July 31.
Innovation Hub to Be Established at Young India Skill University
Providing a Big Boost for Telangana Students, the Chief Minister directed officials to establish a research and innovation centre at Young India Skill University.
The proposed innovation hub will encourage research, creativity, entrepreneurship, and industry-oriented learning, helping students gain practical knowledge and develop solutions for real-world challenges.
The university is chaired by industrialist Anand Mahindra, who serves as the Chairperson of the Board of Governors.
Foreign Language Training to Improve Global Job Opportunities
As another Big Boost for Telangana Students, the Chief Minister instructed officials to establish a dedicated foreign language wing at the university.
Students will be trained in international languages, making them better prepared for higher education and employment opportunities in foreign countries. The initiative is expected to improve communication skills and increase global career prospects.
Internship Opportunities for Government Engineering Students
Revanth Reddy also asked officials to ensure that students studying in government engineering colleges receive internship opportunities with industries.

EV and Drone Technology Courses to Be Introduced

The new programmes will be offered through the state’s Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs), which were created by upgrading Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).
Officials believe these courses will equip students with skills that are in high demand across manufacturing, logistics, defence, agriculture, and the automotive sectors.

Government to Strengthen TOMCOM
The Chief Minister also directed officials to strengthen the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company (TOMCOM).

Nursing Colleges to Be Opened Based on Demand
During the review meeting, Revanth Reddy also announced that the Telangana government will sanction new nursing colleges based on demand across the state.
The move aims to address the growing need for healthcare professionals while creating additional educational opportunities for students interested in the medical sector.
